The new OBU for your vehicle
As part of the shift to the new ERP 2.0 system, all Singapore-registered
vehicles will need to replace their In-Vehicle Unit (IU) with a new On-Board Unit (OBU).
All passenger vehicles will be fitted with a three-piece design, comprising an Antenna, Processing Unit and an optional Touchscreen Display.

Quick checklist
✓ Eligible vehicles include most Singapore-registered vehicles, except for certain exceptions.
✓ Ensure your vehicle is not on a short-term COE or under special schemes to qualify for a free OBU.
✓ Classic or vintage vehicles may opt for an OBU if preferred.
Notice
The person who brings the vehicle for OBU installation shall be assumed to be authorised by vehicle owner to do so, and to make all decisions all matters relating to the OBU installation for that vehicle.
